Building is believing
SLH Custom Homes began with the purpose of building new homes in the Portland, Oregon metro area. They work hard to build quality homes that are both distinct and stylish. SLH Custom Homes produces contemporary, vintage, and modern style homes. Each home site is unique, so SLH tailors the design to suit the surrounding neighborhood and landscape. This approach allows them a diverse range of homes for every budget. SLH Custom Homes gives the same attention to detail on every home, providing quality, efficient, and stylish homes.
SLH Custom Homes derives their passion from digging-in and getting their hands dirty, which results in homes that delight customers. They are determined to provide superior workmanship, giving homeowners peace of mind. Directed by owner Adam Hoesly, the team is made up of expert, locally sourced individuals including architects, builders, designers and real estate agents that demonstrate a high standard of quality.
Adam enjoys working with local companies and small businesses that are part of the communities where they build. Adam is a native Oregonian. He started out building with his father at a young age. Upon completing his education at Whitworth University, Adam promptly moved towards a career in construction. He went to work for a national home builder, where he gained invaluable work experience and perfected his craft. After a few years he wanted to move on from mass production homes and worked for a smaller builder, before starting SLH Custom Homes in 2008. He enjoys the entire process from concept to completion, "Every home brings a new set of challenges making no two days the same."
SLH stands for Sue L. Hoesly, owner Adam Hoesly's departed mother. In honor of his beloved mom, Adam works hard to maintain high professional and ethical standards. Adam is a family oriented guy who loves to build homes. "A home is where families grow and memories are made. I enjoy playing a very small role in that process."
